The website for the Chiquita Canyon Landfill Air Quality Study is operated by Montrose Air Quality Services
and includes numerous roaming handheld monitors providing continuous air quality information to the public.
This program provides information for benzene, hydrogen sulfide (H₂S), total volatile organic compounds (VOCs),
and other analytes.
The Chiquita Canyon Landfill Air Quality Study also deploys a mobile monitoring van capable of detecting compounds
such as benzene, dimethyl disulfide (DMDS), dimethyl sulfide (DMS), H₂S,
methyl ethyl ketone (MEK), xylene, ethylbenzene, and others.
In addition, this study deploys daily air sampling canisters at fixed locations that
sample the air according to EPA method TO-15 over 24-hour periods.
